Paintings Of Pain
At an artists' camp "Against Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation" - held in Mysore, Karnataka, in February last year - 65 renowned artists from that state and from West Bengal presented ODANADI, a SARI/Equity grantee and project partner, with their works that had been inspired by the pain and sufferings of victims/survivors of trafficking whom Odanadi assists through multiple care and services in their reintegration to a normal life in society.
The powerful paintings formed part of an exhibition organized by SARI/Equity in cooperation with ODANADI in Chennai in December 2005 which drew big crowds and aroused the interest and curiosity of many.
SARI/Equity – through its website - wishes to share with an even wider audience some of those glimpses into the depth of emotions captured by the artists.
